TL;DR – Everything you need to know in 5 quick points at 5 pm daily.

1) Nomination Day

So, the fight’s on between PAP’s Murali Pillai and SDP’s Chee Soon Juan who both went down this morning to Keming Primary School to file their nomination papers for the May 7 Bukit Batok by-election.

Uber driver Shirwin Eu also made his way down to the nomination centre but unfortunately failed in his bid to contest as he did not manage to get any assentors.

For the uninitiated, the candidate must be accompanied by a proposer, a seconder and at least four assentors when delivering the nomination paper – so this now begets the question, doesn’t he have at least four friends on Facebook?

2) GOAT… OR NOT?

I kid you not but in the Malaysian town of Kota Tinggi, a goat had given birth to a baby goat with a strong resemblance to a human infant but was dead upon discovery. Research is currently being done on the carcass, including the possibility that the mother goat had been violated by a human.

3) Lip Sync Conversation with Ariana Grande

To erase your mind from that scary man-goat image above, here’s Ariana Grande and Jimmy Fallon having a conversation in her dressing room by lip-syncing to popular songs, proving once again she’s indeed quite impressive.

4) Win with Style, Lose with Style

Picture this: You’re playing a football game, it’s the 78th minute and your team’s losing 1-2. If you as a striker appear seemingly tripped in the penalty box by the opposing team, do you tell the referee that you were tripped or touched and claim the right to penalty? Or do you tell the truth – that you had simply fell? Well, that was what 17 year-old Jonathan Chua from Raffles Institution did. He told the truth and watched the victory go to their rival Anglo-Chinese Junior College and we couldn’t be more touched by his act of sportsmanship. A true testament to the school’s motto to nurturing thinkers, leaders and pioneers of character indeed.

The latest Marvel’s Captain America film opens in cinemas TOMORROW! Without giving away too much of the plot, there’s gonna be a feud between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) – whose side are you on? (Fun fact: Filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo say Marvel made Captain America: Civil War because of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s announcement!)
