TL;DR – Everything you need to know, summarised for you at 5pm daily.
1. The increase in season parking rates not to be sneezed at

Here’s what the experts are saying. Read more here.
“The signal here is: Make do with one car. If not, you must be ready to pay (more) for a second car.”
2. Yeo Hiap Seng’s exclusive bottling agreement with PepsiCo is no more
The exclusive bottling deal for YHS to bottle, sell and distribute carbonated drinks such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew and 7-Up here, is ending. Hope YHS has already planned something else in their own name. After all, the safest bet is still to do their own thing.
In case you’re wondering, Coca-Cola was bottled by F&B here previously, but that deal had ceased sometime back. F&N has already moved on to its own development of other carbonated soft drinks. Its bestseller? 100Plus.

3. Rui En: “I am very, very sorry.”
Actress Rui En was fined $700 after she pleaded guilty for this today. More here.
4. Go on a 14-day trip to see the Northern Lights for under $4,000?
Can! This couple did it, and yes, $4,000 included flight tickets and a comfortable hotel each night. Hehe, but they did miss one night of the hotel accommodation though, see more here.
One half of the couple is photographer, Skyy Woo. So, the photographs were take-my-breath-away-and-take-my-money-too kind of beautiful! Skyy described the night she saw the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) like this,
“It felt like we had left the planet. It was really an out of this world experience, like we were in a different universe.”
