3) American tries to teach Asians how to eat pho and gets it wrong

An online foodie magazine decided to create a guide on how to eat Pho, a popular Vietnamese dish but reactions from Asian viewers of the video indicated that his “proper consumption techniques,” did not sit well with the people who grew up eating the dish.

4) New private-hire car app, Rush

New startup, Rush, will enter the private-hire car market next month. The key difference between this app and the existing players is that it allows commuters to key in multiple destinations, something currently not possible on Uber or Grab. In future, it will provide customised options such as allowing women commuters to choose only women drivers.

5) Ratings for maid agencies now available

Would-be employers of domestic helpers can now check on the effectiveness of a maid agency with information found on the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) existing online directory of maid agencies where each of which can get star ratings of one to five, with five being the top score.
