The fried chicken empire’s Original Recipe® chicken is said to be seasoned with their secret blend of 11 herbs & spices and then hand breaded all day long by a certified cook.
Colonel Sanders’ nephew, Joe Ledington, recently revealed the family’s secret recipe and says the handwritten recipe was found in a scrapbook belonging to Ledington’s late aunt, Sanders’ second wife.
The restaurant chain says in reply that it isn’t the original recipe, “Many people have made these claims over the years and no one has been accurate — this one isn’t either.”
