TL;DR – Sigh.
One chapter has closed for the tragic story of the foreign domestic worker, Ms Zin Mar Oo, who jumped to her death from the 19th floor at The Interlace Condominium at Deport Road.
Her family had flown to Singapore with the moral and social support of the Centre for Domestic Employees (CDE) to cremate her body. The CDE also worked with their stakeholders to provide a goodwill donation of S$2000 as well as facilitated and sponsored the cost of cremation, repatriation and funeral rites.
The family has since flown home with the remains of the late Ms Zin and the CDE will continue working with the Myanmar Embassy and the Rakhine Association to explore various options to help the family should they need further assistance after they return to Myanmar.
