TL;DR – Time to start planning for your 2019 getaways!

The Ministry of Manpower has released the list of Singapore’s public holidays for next year on April 4, Wednesday. There will be four long weekends with 11 gazetted public holidays in 2019.

Of the holidays, two are on a Friday – Good Friday on 19 April and National Day on 9 August – and three on a Sunday – Vesak Day on 19 May, Hari Raya Haji on 11 August and Deepavali on 27 October, meaning the following Monday will be a public holiday.

The dates of the 11 gazetted public holidays for 2019 are as follows:

Plan ahead to enjoy six long weekends in 2019

With National Day and Hari Raya Haji falling on the same weekend, there will only be four long weekends. However, you can still easily enjoy two more long weekends with just 2 days’ of leave.

Since the two public holidays – New Year’s Day and Chinese New Year – fall on a Tuesday, you can give yourself a longer weekend by taking the day off on Monday.

It’s never too early to start planning your travel dates. Plan ahead and save money!
