Forget Shake Shack… These burger joints in Singapore deserve more hype!

TL;DR – So many burgers, so little time.

Shake Shack fans call it the BEST burger in the world and currently for Asia, they are only found in Tokyo and Seoul. But they could soon be coming to Singapore!

Till then, you might want to check out these amazing burger joints in Singapore!

1. Three Buns by Potato Head

Set in a four-storey shophouse building at Keong Saik Road, Three Buns is part of Potato Head Folk, the highly-acclaimed beach club from Bali. Helmed by Chef Adam Penney who also owns many renowned UK restaurants, Three Buns bakes its brioche buns in-house and uses prime grass-fed beef and lamb from Australia. Many of its burgers are to die for, including Four Floors which features Double Prime 100g beef patties layered with double cheese, triple onions and lettuce, and Fun Boy Three which features Black Angus beef and a decadent concoction of smoked applewood cheddar, roasted portobello mushroom, garlic and miso butter, and truffle aioli.

2. db Bistro Moderne

Owned by chef Daniel Boulud, db Bistro Moderne at Marina Bay Sands is linked to its Michelin-starred restaurants in New York. With its modern and classy atmosphere, you can enjoy an elegant evening of French food with an American twist. The restaurant is known for its Original db Burger, a juicy beef patty stuffed with foie gras and finished with two fluffy Parmesan buns.

3. OverEasy Bar & Diner

If you need a good burger after shopping at Orchard Road, OverEasy is your go-to for American-style comfort food. There are quite a number of favourites here but the must-try burgers are The Truffle and The Hangover Part IV. The Truffle is made with a hefty wagyu chuck blend patty cooked to perfection, topped with a generous amount of caramelised onions, sauteed mushrooms, truffle mayo, served with soft and buttery brioche buns. Like the name suggests, The Hangover Part IV is the ultimate hangover cure. The burger features a signature wagyu chuck blend patty with rosti, cheddar, fried egg, bacon, ham served with warm English muffins.

4. Omakase Burger

Omakase Burger has been dubbed the best cheeseburger in Singapore and a cult favourite for burger lovers here. One of the pioneers of gourmet American-style burgers in Singapore, Omakase Burger uses premium USDA blend of premium cuts ground for its beef patties, specially imported American cheese and soft pillowy buns cooked to perfection.  Some may think that the burger size is too small though, so if you are a big eater, you might want to order two.

5. Huber’s Butchery

Huber’s Butchery is one of Singapore’s top places to get your premium meats, hams and sausages. It is one of the most, if not the only, modernised butchery in Singapore. Besides grocery shopping, you can also dine at their in-house bistro and have a go at the signature Huber’s Dry-Aged Angus Beef Burger, which features Australian-chilled beef, dry-aged for 21 days and grilled until it is juicy and tender, then topped with sun-dried tomato aioli, tomatoes, caramelised onions and rocket leaves and fluffy buttered buns.

6. Nadim’s Delights

This is not a gourmet burger but we had to include this burger drowned in cheese. Newly-opened in a kopitiam in Jurong West, Nadim’s Delights is known for its Burger Banjir. Directly translated to “flooded burger” in Malay, this is essentially a double-patty hamburger with coleslaw, two fish patties, a slice of cheese and all dunked in nacho cheese sauce.
