TL;DR – Vans meet Van Gogh.
What does Vincent van Gogh and skate brand Van have in common?
Nothing… until the recent Vans x Van Gogh Museum collection launching today August 3.
The brand in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam has launched a limited-editon series inspired by the Dutch Vincent van Gogh and features some of the artist’s most iconic artworks.
The collection features sneakers, t-shirts, and jackets that have been printed with some of the prolific artist’s most recognisable paintings, such as Skull (1887), Almond Blossom (1890), Sunflowers (1889) and van Gogh’s Self-Portrait as a Painter (1887-1888). The designers at Vans also tried their best to mimic the post-impressionist painter’s distinct brush strokes and handwriting. Every item from the collection will also include a special hangtag that highlight historical facts behind each piece of Vincent Van Gogh’s art.
The Vans x Van Gogh Museum Collection is available at its Ion, Vivo City and Raffles City stores from 3 August and you can take a first look at the collection here:
A portion of profits from this project will be dedicated to the preservation of Van Gogh’s legacy and collection of art.
