TL;DR – This Halloween, it’s time to paint your pumpkins teal.
What is the Teal Pumpkin Project® about?
With the intention of providing a safer, happier Halloween for all kids worldwide, Food Allergy Research & Education hopes that this worldwide movement will have everyone hang out teal-coloured pumpkins for children who have food allergies or other conditions.
So what should you put in your teal pumpkin then?
You can place non-food treats for trick-or-treaters, such as glow sticks or small toys to provide inclusion. You may also add your home to the Teal Pumpkin Project Map.
Where can you purchase a teal pumpkin?
While there aren’t any places in Singapore that are currently selling teal pumpkins, you can take this time of the year to do something special and let your creativity take over! All you have to do is to head down to a supermarket and get a pumpkin and paint on it! Moreover, you can get your little ones to paint it with you to make their Halloween this year a little more special! Also, through this way you can educate your kids about this special movement!
