TL;DR – Farewell, Creamier Toa Payoh… You will be missed.

Creamier announced the closure of their first Creamier café through a Facebook post on 19 March 2019.

Located at Blk 128 Toa Payoh Lorong 1, the ice cream café said they first started out in 2011 with a vision of creating a cosy space to enjoy moments of happiness.

For almost eight years now, the café has been part of the bustling Toa Payoh Market and a vibrant community.

Mixed emotions

Unsurprisingly, the announcement has sparked an outpouring of emotion, some devastation, that the heartland ice cream café will soon cease operations in the neighbourhood.

Some stepped forward with suggestions when the café said that it is open to leads for a good space to lease.

Special farewell flavour

To commemorate their little heartland shop, the café teased that it will be creating a special flavour as their farewell gift to customers.

Gillman Barracks and Tiong Bahru outlets will remain open

The café also assured that their other two outlets in Gillman Barracks and Tiong Bahru are unaffected by the closure.

Customers can still hop over to these two outlets, should they need to satisfy their cravings for handcrafted ice creams and waffles, after Toa Payoh’s closure.

Launch of Little White Rabbit ice cream

Here’s a piece of good news which might ameliorate the bad news: Little White Rabbit ice cream is now available at all Creamier outlets.

Yay!

The new flavour will be available at three locations – Toa Payoh, Gillman Barracks, and Tiong Bahru.

Pints will be also available in-store, while they last.
