TL;DR – Who else is excited?

Almost four years after the release of Korean box office hit, Train to Busan, it looks like we are finally getting a sequel!

According to report, the movie titled ‘Bando’ or literally ‘Peninsula’ will take place in the same world as Train to Busan, following the events occurring directly after the film where the zombie virus has spread to Busan, once considered a safe zone.

However, the sequel will not feature the previous cast who had managed to get out from the train alive.

Instead, we will be seeing Kang Dong Won as the male lead role playing Jung Suk, who puts his life on the line to fight against the zombies that have dominated the country.

Lee Jung Hyun in the role of Min Jung, playing as a strong woman who leads people and doesn’t give up in her battle against zombies.

Child actress Lee Re will take on the role of Joon, who endures difficult situations together with Min Jung.

Veteran actor Kwon Hae Hyo in the role of the oldest surviving member of Min Jung’s crew, Kim Noh In.

And finally, we have Kim Min Jae and Goo Kyo Hwan, who will add tension to the exciting film as they lead the peninsula’s military units while hiding different ambitions.

‘Peninsula’ which is also directed by Yeon Sang Ho of “Train to Busan”, has begun its filming as of 24 June and is set to be released in 2020.

Ah, can’t wait!
