TL;DR – YAAAAAAAS!
Almost three months after bidding goodbye to the first Creamier café located at Blk 128 Toa Payoh Lorong 1, the ice cream café said in a Facebook post that they have finally found the perfect new space, and will be back in the neighbourhood again.
The new Creamier Toa Payoh will be located at Blk 131 Toa Payoh Lorong 1, #01-02 S310131 – right across their former outlet, and will be operating on soft opening starting 8 October 2019.
Collaboration with The Food Bank Singapore
The ice cream café also announced that they will be partnering with The Food Bank Singapore (FBSG) to co-create a space known as PIKO (short for “pick-and-go”), where The Food Pantry 2.0 will be operating at.
Essentially, The Food Pantry 2.0 is a step up from the original model of The Food Pantry, featuring fully-automated Smart Vending Machines that are available around-the-clock, to sell consumable food that is close to expiry date to beneficiaries, anytime the need arises.
Food stock at these vending machines will be sold at just $2 each to consumers who may have some use for the products, instead of wasting them.
The co-created space will also act as a food collection point where anyone can donate non-perishable food that are unopened, unused and with at least four weeks of shelf life.
On top of that, PIKO will also offer a range of selected product offerings such as frozen meals, beverages, snacks, household items and prepaid mobile cards to bring convenience to the residents.
PIKO will officially open on 16 October, which coincides with World Food Day.
OMG, can’t wait!
