TL;DR – Look ma, no numbers!

Southeast Asia’s leading ride-sharing platform Grab has announced the launch of Asia’s first numberless card GrabPay Card on 5 December.

Powered by Mastercard, the GrabPay Card has no numbers on the physical card, and it will allow users to make purchases at any of Mastercard’s network of nearly 53 million merchant outlets.

And here’s why you should use the GrabPay Card:

It gives you enhanced payment security

The physical card itself is completely numberless.

In other words, even if you lose the card, you don’t have to worry about your card details being compromised! Your card details are stored securely within your Grab app.

Best card for travel

Flight delay? No problem, the GrabPay Card provides users complimentary access to over 1000 airport lounges in more than 100 countries for registered flights that are delayed for at least two hours. GrabPay Card users can register up to two flights each calendar year.

And for travellers who prefer travelling without cash, the GrabPay card offers competitive foreign exchange rates that are better than banks.

More rewards points

With the GrabPay Card, users can also earn GrabPay reward points for purchases made at any merchant that accepts Mastercard cards, or for Grab services.

As part of a limited launch promotion period, the GrabPay Card will reward users with up to 10x GrabRewards points for every dollar spent. These points can be used to redeem GrabRewards offers anywhere in Southeast Asia.

Samsung users can also add their digital GrabPay Card to their Samsung Pay wallet and make offline payments by tapping their device at any contactless-enabled payments terminal.

Other additional benefits

GrabPay Card users get to enjoy complimentary Mobile Phone Protection coverage for that month when their monthly mobile bills payment is made using the GrabPay Card.

On top of that, users can look forward to additional perks such as eCommerce protection that covers all lost/damaged goods purchased online.
