TL;DR – New spot to show off your #OOTD.

The Thomson-East Coast MRT Line (TEL) is Singapore’s sixth MRT line and is identified on the MRT system map as the brown line.

The TEL is constructed in five stages, with the first phase (TEL 1) open for passenger services on 31 Jan 2020. TEL 1 comprises of three stations: Woodlands North (TE01), Woodlands (TE02; interchange with the red North-South Line) and Woodlands South (TE03).

The TEL will be served by a fleet of 91 trains, each with four carriages. In a first here in Singapore, there will be five doors per side per carriage to allow for faster exchange of passengers.

With TEL 1, residents living in the northern areas of Singapore will be able to enjoy the greater convenience, easy accessibility and better connectivity to schools, parks, eating places and many more amenities!

With TEL1, Woodlands residents will benefit from the added convenience to get around the neighbourhood.

The remaining phases of the TEL will open as follows:
Stage 2 (Springleaf to Caldecott): by end-2020
Stage 3 (Mount Pleasant to Gardens by the Bay): 2021
Stage 4 (Tanjong Rhu to Bayshore): 2023
Stage 5 (Bedok South and Sungei Bedok): 2024
