TL;DR – The woman was also seen mumbling to herself and ignoring people around her.
A TikTok video of a woman who was allegedly possessed during a screening of “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” has gone viral.
According to The Jakarta Post, the horror movie had to be stopped halfway after a woman was heard screaming and shouting in the movie theatre in Bekasi, Indonesia, as though she was being possessed.
In the more than 1-minute long TikTok video uploaded by user @witeewitee, the movie can be seen being paused on the screen, while a group of people gathers around a moviegoer seated on the left side of the movie theatre.
At the time of writing, the video has since garnered more than 2.5 million views.
Reportedly, the woman was already screaming and shouting in the earlier part of the movie. However, the TikTok user who caught the incident on camera said that she wasn’t sure if the woman was being possessed.
What happened with the woman then quickly caused a commotion among the audience seated in the rows between her. A few minutes later, the lights in the theatre came on and the movie was suspended.
At least three staff members stepped forward and found that the woman was in an abnormal state. She was seen mumbling to herself and ignoring people around her. The woman was eventually asked to leave, and the movie resumed.

“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” is the sequel to the first and second The Conjuring movies, which were released in 2013 and 2016. It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.
