A man has been caught in the act of stealing a gas tank in Malaysia.
In a video shared by a Facebook group, 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians, a man was seen allegedly seen stealing a gas tank from an unmanned food stall.
According to World of Buzz, the incident took place on the eve of Hari Raya.
In the 25-second video, the man can be seen getting off his motorcycle after parking it on the side of the road and walking into the back area of a small, unmanned food stall.
The man then picked up a gas tank from the stall and walked briskly back to his motorcycle, before leaving with the gas tank.

The video, which has garnered over 44,000 views, has netizens divided on the man’s actions.
Although there are netizens who condemned his act of theft, there are also those who took his act a more light-hearted and practical view of the incident.
Taking out the gas tank as if it belongs to his parents, said one netizen.
Another netizen commented candidly that perhaps the man was cooking halfway and ran out of gas at home.
Some netizens, who probably empathize with him, pointed out that perhaps the financial pressure has pushed him into a corner.
“Too poor until gas tank also steal”, commented another netizen.
Some netizens pointed out that the man could make some “good money” if he were to sell the gas tank away.
“The economy is bad that is why these things happen”, said one netizen.
Understandably, the rising inflation is affecting all of us around the world – not just in Singapore. It has pushed the cost of living to new highs and caused hardships. However, we’d like to think that stealing as a means to survive due to economic hardship is still a no-no.
