Unable to travel overseas to see snow this Christmas? Fret not, there are many spots in Singapore that you can still snow. Although the snow is not real, it still makes a pretty sight and you do not have to fend off the cold. And I repeat…all the spots mentioned here are FREE. Parents, trust me, bring your kids to one of these and it will make their day.

Pssst…there will be a bonus spot (not free) at the end of the post for you to experience real snow in Singapore, and nope, it is NOT at Snow City, so read till the end!

They are also giving out free cotton candy, popcorn and drinks starting from 8pm. If you don’t mind paying a little, go for the JUMPTOPIA when you are there too, a great way to wear off the sugar rush from all the free sweet treats!

5. Tanglin Mall

This must be my favourite one out of this list! I’ve been to their snowfall sessions almost every Christmas since I was a child that it has become a tradition. After a two-year hiatus I am excited that the mall’s Snow Splendours avalanches and snowfall sessions are back again. Apart from snow, there are also waterbeads and bauble painting workshops, Santa meet-and-greet/storytelling and carolling sessions that your kids are sure to enjoy.

6. Ice Magic – Fantasy on Ice

I repeat, this is NOT FREE.

If snow made of foam is not your thing, want to experience real (man-made) snow in Singapore and don’t mind spending, THIS IS IT!

This 2,400 sq m winter playground is a part of The Great Bay Fiesta held at Bayfront Event Space. Here, you get to enjoy real ice and snow activities under a 11.5m indoor tentage. Why I say that this is an authentic experience of real snow is because snow-making machines that were used in the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 were flown in for this. Just WOW.  At the Snow Section, you can now build that snowman and make that snow angel that you’ve always wanted.
