TL;DR – Holiday calories be gone.

Everybody seems to be practising yoga these days and if you’re looking for a studio, here are our favourites that you can consider.

And yes, men can join in too.

1. The Yoga Co

via

The Yoga Collective is Singapore’s first home-concept yoga studio. Basically, this place is like an Airbnb apartment, with an element of homeliness to do yoga in a comfortable and intimate space. The brainchild of Sandra Riley Tang of The Sam Willows, the studio has chic furnishings and is complete with a fully-equipped kitchen. To complement the approach of breaking away from commercialised studios, The Yoga Co keeps classes small and cosy with a 1:30 teacher to student ratio so that you can get undivided attention. Besides its unique home-concept, The Yoga Collective is also one of the very few yoga studios that teaches other exercises besides yoga, including HIIT and Calisthenics. If you are up for the challenge, you can even join their arm inversion classes and Triple Threat Bootcamps, but be warned – the advance classes are not for the faint-hearted!

Hom Yoga is a contemporary boutique hot yoga studio with a clean and minimalist vibe. The flagship studio at Orchard Central is ultra-sleek, with its large, spacious yoga rooms, white walls and high lofty ceiling-to-floor windows. With wide windows facing towards Orchard Road and the usage of energy efficient lighting, which produces sun-like heat during the practice, the classes at Hom yoga can get very hot but are super effective for sweating it out and detoxification. Hom Yoga’s other studio is equally charming; a three-storey loft studio along Canton Street, just 5 minutes away from Raffles MRT. You will leave feeling light, confident and inspired to do better your next practise.
