TL;DR – The force has arrived.
It’s an exciting period in Singapore for Star Wars fans as Star Wars: Experience the Force Singapore festival, part of a worldwide Star Wars celebration event, kicks off from 1 to 10 September at Orchard Road!
The event started with a midnight launch with the first release of exclusive new merchandise related to the upcoming new Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie with many enthusiastic fans in line since 5pm the day before.
Star Wars: Experience the Force Singapore is definitely a fun event for the whole family – and here’s why.
For the kids, get them roped into the Star Wars fandom with a free Padawan Training Experience (12 sessions daily, from 3pm till 8.30pm) available at Ion2 right outside Ion Orchard or try out the VR interactive experience with BB8 at Basement 4.
For adults, get your hands on exclusive toy releases at the Beast Kingdom pop up store or experience the various activities around Ion and Orchard Road that make use of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and even 3D effects!
Take part in the AR competition and stand a chance to win tickets to the gala premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi at the end of the year! Visitors simply need to take a photo of the character they unlocked, upload onto their social media with the hashtags #ExperienceTheForceSG and #VisitSingapore, and tell us what makes that character their favourite.
Entries will be evaluated based on creativity of the photo and caption submitted.
